We’ve Gone Some Distance on our Path Together
What a busy three months we’ve had in the life of our church! It’s been busy but great!
Let’s recap:
- We began holding our Sunday a.m. worship services at Meadow View Elementary the first Sunday in May.
- Had five Saturday workdays on the church property where we’ve completed yard work, cut down trees and bushes, torn down wallpaper and painted the bathroom and kitchen.
- Purchased a trailer in order to haul portable worship items.
- Purchased a stellar sound system (thank you, Steve and Tish Hansel!).
- Incorporated our Welcome Cafe before and after Sunday a.m. worship.
- Completed a sermon series on Living Wisdom and began another called Simply Great (celebrating Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Fourth of July somewhere in between).
- Enjoyed a “Fifth of July”(see pictures) potluck on the church property.
- Made the decision to change the name of our church from West Santa Rosa Baptist Church to Tree of Life Fellowship.
- Best of all, the Lord added four new members: Don and Sharon Doss; and Gordon and Lillian McGowan
Whew! Have I missed anything?
Thanks to the Building Steering Committee who has done a magnificent job! There is much more work to be done but we’re looking forward to God bringing a Called worship leader to us, creating materials for a new members class and developing a workshop geared toward 20 and 30 something’s in Sonoma County.
Onward and Upward,
Pastor Jim
